headspace Queanbeyan is a free or low cost, confidential service where 12 to 25 years old can access mental health professionals. We offer a range of supports for young people worried about drug and alcohol use, mental, physical or sexual wellbeing.

Please note, headspace Queanbeyan is open Monday 9am to 7pm with 5-7pm being groups only. Other opening times as per the Hours list.

headspace Queanbeyan is operated by Marathon Health . All headspace services are funded by the Australian Government Department of Health. Administration of funding is carried out by the headspace centre’s local Primary Health Network, in this case, South Eastern NSW (Coordinare Ltd).


Mental health workers – which may include psychologists, psychiatrists, counsellors and other workers – that can help if you're just not feeling yourself.

Workers either on site or linked to the centre who can assist you with work or study opportunities. 

Centres have a range of programs and activities for young people. Just ask your centre what they have on. 

Workers either on site or linked to the centre who can assist you with any alcohol or other drug concern.

A group of young people who help with events and some decision making at a centre. Ask your centre about getting involved.

If you ever feel that you:

• are feeling down, stressed or can't stop worrying

• haven't felt like yourself for a long time

• can't deal with school or finding it difficult to concentrate

• are feeling sick or worried about your health

• want to cut down on your drinking or drug use

• want to talk about sexuality, identity or relationships

• are having difficulties with friendships

• have sexual health issues or want to find out about contraception

• are being bullied, hurt or harassed

• are worried about work or study or if you're having money trouble

headspace Queanbeyan is a place you can go to talk to someone about any of these issues.

headspace Queanbeayn is making a difference where it is needed most - our young people.

Our Centre provides early intervention services to young people 12 to 25 years. Our range of services includes mental, physical and sexual health, drug and alcohol information and support as well as vocational and educational assistance along with care coordination by our youth access team.  It is a place where a range of services can be provided to young people in one youth friendly location.  Our service is free and we ensure that we respect your confidentiality and privacy. We welcome all young people no matter your social background, gender, sexuality or cultural background. Please bring in your Medicare Card with you if you have one. 

There are many ways to access headspace Queanbeyan yourself or support someone in doing so.


Self-Referral or Family and Friend Referrals


If you are a young person aged 12-25 and you are enquiring about headspace Queanbeyan services for yourself you do not require a formal referral. Simply phone or email to arrange an appointment with one of our staff.


Family and Friends of a young person wanting to make a referral on behalf on the young person can also just call or email us.  Please ask the young person for their consent first.


Please leave a detailed message with your name, phone number and reason for calling and we will call you back.


Service Provider including GP’s and School Counsellor Referrals

If you are a GP, Service Provider, School Counsellor or Welfare staff, you can provide a written referral on behalf of a young person.

Once competed, please forward your referral, with any accompanying documentation, to headspace Queanbeyan via Healthlink ID: hsqbeyan, Secure Email (SOPHOS) or Post as per the PO BOX.


General Practitioners can choose to download the referral above, or use their usual referral/letter or MHTP and forward by Email.

What is the headspace Queanbeyan Youth Reference Group (YRG)?

The Youth Reference Group exists to ensure young people’s voices and opinions remain front and center in everything we do at headspace Queanbeyan.

YRG provides young people with the opportunity to be heard and be active around youth mental health and alcohol / drug issues.  There are a number of roles you can play in a headspace local reference group, including:

  • Leading a project in your local area
  • Evaluation of headspace services
  • Consultation around programs and resource development such as, factsheets, brochures, ads etc
  • Assisting headspace with the delivery of some groups & programs
  • Being a Media Spokesperson
  • Social media consultation and development

 By getting involved you will:

  • Have the opportunity to have your say in the direction of youth mental health services in Australia
  • Develop new skills
  • Meet and work with other young people who are passionate about youth mental health
  • Make a difference to youth mental health
