headspace Cessnock is a safe and confidential service for young people aged 12-25 years. We offer a range of services and supports for young people who are experiencing a tough time or are worried about their mental health, drug and alcohol use, employment and more. Our services are free or low cost. We provide friendly and non-judgemental services to young people from all different backgrounds.

headspace Cessnock is linked to headspace Maitland and operated by The Samaritans Foundation. All headspace services are funded by the Australian Government Department of Health. Administration of funding is carried out by the headspace centre’s local Primary Health Network, in this case, Hunter New England and Central Coast.

We have a dedicated team of friendly, welcoming staff who you can talk to about what’s going on in your life in a confidential, non-judgemental environment. Coming to see us is free, and you can phone us, email us or just come in. You can also ask your parents, a health worker or case manager to refer you. These guys will be your first port of call! After booking an appointment with headspace you will have a meeting with one of our amazing Early Intervention Mental Health Clinicians. They will listen to what’s going on and talk to you about what help is out there.
Bushfire Response Counsellor
The Bush fire response counsellor is here to help any young person 12-25yr and their family or friends after the bush fires that occurred in NSW. This service is working in the areas of Cessnock, Singleton and Muswellbrook, with anyone affected in any way, directly or indirectly, by the Bushfires. Adolescent and Family Counsellor
Adolescent and Family Counselling helps parents and young people successfully resolve difficult issues and navigate their way through challenging times with a focus on strengthening family relationships.
headspace Cessnock can be booked in to attend your event, school or service by filling in this request form.
In order to help us best suit your needs please note the following:
- We need at least 3 weeks notice of events and presentations.
- We may not be able to meet your request within the timeframe due to prior commitments.
- If you need to cancel an event or presentation, please advise us 1 week before.
- It may take 10 days for a staff member to process and get back to you.
